The Black and Red Ball

This Carnival ball is dedicated to one of the most famous sport teams of the world, Flamengo.

The Scala night club in Rio is fiercely proud of the Rio football (soccer in the US) team - Flamengo. The Flamengo colors are Black and Red and if you’re planning to attend, make sure you are dressed in black and red – you might not get in otherwise!

An Experience of a Lifetime

The Black and Red Ball at the Scala is a feverish event which will leave you wanting for more even as you trudge back to your hotel room at six in the morning. As soon as you enter you will find yourself in a sea of black and red with no space to move. As you squeeze past the other party goers don’t be surprised if you get a pinch or two, men and women alike. Head straight to the drinks token counter and get as many as you think you will need for the night. It will be very difficult to go back for more later.

The live bands will be playing invigorating Carnival music and before you know it, you will be on the dance floor. Don’t worry if you don’t know how to Samba, the beautiful dancers on the stage in their skimpy outfits complete with feathers will be inspiration enough. As you go deeper in the night, you might find yourself with someone’s top on your face as reveling party goers fling off their black and reds in a dancing frenzy. Don’t be surprised if you find yourself on TV as well, the Flamengo theme is a popular one in the Rio Carnival and the ball is usually televised.
