Close to 1 million people will descend on Rio de Janeiro to celebrate the Rio Carnival.  This famous 2014 celebration will really begin about 10 days before its official start with parties in the streets. Seven days after the beginning of the Carnival the city will host the popular Samba School parades at the Sambadrome.
