Grandstands tickets are not numbered except for Sector 9, which is the tourist sector. There are no actual chairs but bleachers made of big concrete steps.

They are located at the very end of the samba parade, close to the Apotheosis. The chairs are organized in an open-air theatre with the long lines of chairs facing the parade. Allocated chairs are ideal for those who want to secure a chair without paying the open box seat prices.

The Open Box Sectors are located at the very floor level, as close to the runaway as it gets, in four rows of boxes, from A TO D. Each box sits six people in numbered chairs. A little coffee table completes the box space.

CLICK HERE TO SEE THE LUXURY SUITE LOCATION AT THE SAMBADROMELuxury Suites, Camarotes or covered boxes tickets are the best ticket you can get to watch the parade. Luxury Suites are available all along the Rio sambodromo, from Sector 2 to Sector 11. These are considered to be the most desired tickets, offering a great view of the show from an acclimatized private suite with first-class waiter service, buffet, open bar and security. It’s ideal for closed parties of 15, 18 and 24 people. The space within the suite is huge, with a bar, lounge, sofas, but the window access is somewhat limited. Hence, luxury suites may not be your best bet if you don't’ want to socialize and naturally take turns at the window.

Please note about 2014 luxury suite tickets:
1) Luxury Suites on Sector 8 - are located on 2nd floor with a balcony. Private Suite of 18, 36, 54 or 72 people available. Location in front of the drummers' niche.
2) Luxury Suites on Sector 4 Special - are located  on 2nd floor with a balcony on Setor 4 Special - a 2-floor building between sector 4 and 6. Private Suite of 24, 48, 72 and 96 people available.
3) Luxury Suites on Sector 4 - located on 1st floor covered space. Private Suite of 15 and 30 available. Located at end of Sector 4 towards Sector 6. 
4) Vip Lounge Folia Tropical - located on Sector 10. It's a huge loungy area with a capacity of 400 people. Ideal for young crowds who want to enjoy the parade and mingle around at the same time. The ticket holder with have access to the Camarote and the lounge area, located right close to the runaway at floor level, with both sectors being connected by a bridge. All sectors include Open Bar, Buffet, Bar service, Waiter, Security and  Transportation from and to your hotel, located in the so-called Zona Sul, from Barra to Botafogo, including Copacabana, Ipanema, Leme and Leblon.

Choose from FREE pick up at our Hospitality Desk located at the ATLANTICO COPACABANA HOTEL, in Copacabana neighborhood - Address Rua Siqueira Campos, 90, at Meeting Room Imperial at ground floor, Exclusively from 10 AM to 5PM, from From Thursday Feb 27th thru Monday Mar 3rd, 2014, and on Friday March 7th and Saturday Mar 8th, 2014 for those who purchased a Winner's Parade ticket. OR have your carnival tickets delivered to your hotel or address of choice in Rio de Janeiro, with a special courier for only US$14 per ticket. Maximum delivery charge for multiple tickets is US$ 30.

  • Detailed Description and Explanation of the Parade - You will also receive our comprehensive Parade description to help you prepare for the big event and better understand it. It will contain the history and a good description of the components of the Parade and explain how it works as a competition.   • Picking up your Tickets - After booking your carnival ticket, you will receive e-voucher by email which have to be exchanged for actual tickets once you get to Rio de Janeiro, thru our Hospitality Desk located in Copacabana. Actual tickets are only released by Carnival authorities a few days before the event to avoid counterfeit. Our Hospitality Desk will be functioning at the ATLANTICO COPACABANA HOTEL and tickets may be exchanged from Thursday February 27th thru Monday March 3rd, 2014, and on Friday March 7th, and Saturday March 8th 2014 for those who purchased a Winner's Parade ticket. From 10AM to 5PM, local time.

Tips and Recommendations:

Read the following to protect yourself from fraudulent ticket sales!

  • Purchase your tickets through a reliable source. (travel agents and hotels)
  • Tickets consist of three parts: a bagde to wear around your neck and 2 slips. The first slip will be taken off at the main avenue entrance and the second one will be taken off at the Sector entrance. To have free access in and out your sector, just wear your bagde around your neck. Double check that you receive all parts. Access group grandstand's tickets consist of only 2 parts: 1 ticket and 1 slip that will be taken off.
  • Do not purchase RIO CARNIVAL tickets from scalpers at the gates.
  • Do not plan on discounted rates or free admission after the parade has started.
  • Do not buy used tickets in hopes that they will get you past the guards.
