You can get to the Sambadrome via various transportation methods. By taxi: The Carnival venue has an agreement with TaxiRio, so any taxi cab with a QR code will drop you off near the venue. Provide your sector number to the driver for correct entrance placement and return by accessing taxis parked between sectors 8 and 10, or 9 and 11, respectively.

Conventional buses are economical but less recommended because of route changes during parade days.

One of the ideal ways to watch the Samba Schools Parade is by subway. Trains run every 10 minutes throughout the night, handling costumed parade goers. Even Sectors

For visitors holding ticket packages in even sectors (2, 4, 6, 8, 10, or 12), there are a few transport options:

Taxi – You can access the Sambadrome by taking one of the taxis licensed by the City Hall via the Taxi Rio app.

Subway – Trustworthy and safe, the subway operates uninterrupted during parade days. Reach Sector 2 from Praça Onze Station, exit via Access B - Marquês de Sapucaí. Utilize our Bookers Angels service to assist you; learn more here.

Bus – Not recommended for tourists unfamiliar with the city routes.

Odd Sectors

Ticket holders for odd sectors (3, 5, 7, 9, 11, or 13) have these options:

Taxi – Only authorized TaxiRio cabs with QR codes can pick up at the Sambadrome, stationed near the Military Police Battalion at Marquês de Pombal and Frei Caneca streets.

Subway – Disembark at Central Station and walk about 700 meters to the Sambadrome, passing through the floats of incoming schools and "Terreirão do Samba".

Bus – As with the even sectors, buses are not recommended for inexperienced travelers.
