Package Prices: All prices on our website are per person, in US Dollars, and are subject to change, without previous notice, whether due to currency fluctuations, rate changes, or increase in operational costs, until the total amount is paid and received by Bookers.

Payment Methods: Several payment methods are accepted by Bookers, either through our websites or with information provided directly to our agents including all major credit card companies, PayPal, bank deposit, wire transfer, Western Union, among others. 

Payments made by Western Union, bank deposit or wire transfer may take up to 7 business days to be confirmed, approved and processed.

Credit card payments will be subject to transaction approval and confirmation by the credit card company used and / or the customer's banking institution. 

Credit Card Charges in US Dollars: When you make a purchase on our website, your credit card statement / bill may include: Bookers International, Bookers Brazil, PayPal, Brazil Tourism and Congress and / or any of our suppliers, including, Folia Tropical, Grupo Pacifica and Land Tour. 

The amount reflected on your credit card statement / bill will depend on the exchange rate used by your credit card issuing bank on the day of the charge. You may experience a variation from 1% to 5% – more or less – of the values quoted in US Dollars shown on the website. 

Electronic Commerce (Credit Card Security): Credit card privacy is our primary concern. By making your purchase – ticket, hotel package, transfers, tours, costumes - on our server, you are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. This technology allows us to use the most advanced encryption tools to protect the information transmitted between the means of acquisition, such as computer or mobile, and our servers. Through encryption, your personal data - including name, address, and card information - is converted to codes that are then securely dispatched over the Internet. If you would like to make your purchase but would rather provide your credit card and information over the telephone, our agents will be available at our call center from Monday to Friday from 10am to 5pm, Brazilian time. 

Special conditions for all CARNIVAL 2020 Items:  

About Cancellations and Refunds - Bookers International offers special cancellation conditions. Tickets are refundable for 100% of the amount paid, for all requests received by October 31, 2019. 

Sambadrome and ball tickets are partially refundable for 70% of the amount paid, if the cancelation request is received by December 31, 2019. 

The US$ 10 handling fee charged per ticket is never refundable. 

Requests for cancellation should be submitted in English, Spanish or Portugues, by email to cancel@bookersinternational.com by December 31, 2019 at midnight EST. Our call center will respond to all cancellation requests within 3 (three) business days. After December 31st, 2019, all tickets are non refundable, regardless of the reason. 

About Price Range, Promotions, Outlet Sales, and Last-Minute Sales - Prices for all products may vary up or down as part of special online promotions or as a result of fluctuating exchange rates. Ticket packages may be offered at a lower price at Bookers International's discretion as a result of negotiations and pre-purchases from suppliers. In no case will refunds be given, partial or full, outside the cancellation and refund rules described above. No refunds will be given under any circumstances if online prices are lower than prices paid for a particular product or service. 

About Event Delay and / or Cancellation – Bookers International, as an authorized travel agency, is not responsible for any delays or even cancellations of the event that are beyond our control, or include, but are not limited to: Adverse weather conditions such as rainfall, storms, floods or congestion, strikes, accidents, fires, flight delays, avenue or access interruptions, airport closures or similar events. The value of the packages and / or tickets will not be refunded in case of cancellation of participation of a samba school or even the cancellation of the event by authorities or by LIESA and LIERJ themselves. No refunds will be given under any circumstances if the client does not attend the event for the reasons mentioned above or for any other reasons. 

Liability of Tickets - Tickets are not nominal. Once in customer’s possession, delivered or picked up, they are their sole responsibility and will not be replaced in the event of theft, loss, damage or misplacement. No refunds will be given under any of these circumstances. 

About Children under 5 years old at the Sambadrome - Children under 5 years old CANNOT enter the Sambadrome, as determined by the Rio de Janeiro justice system, even accompanied by parents and / or legal guardians and holding tickets. Entrance to the event will not be allowed in any way. No refund will be given under any circumstances, of tickets or transfers, to the minor or accompanying individual, in case of the impossibility of using these tickets and consequent access to the event for the reason mentioned above. 

About Ticket Availability - Ticket availability may change at any time up to 14 days prior to the event, which is why we reserve the right to cancel any item of any purchase up to 2 weeks prior to the ticket date. Although unlikely, in such cases Bookers will, where possible, offer upgrades free of charge or a full refund option for all such items. In the case of cancellation where the ticket can not be upgraded or when it is not accepted by clients, Bookers will refund the purchase in full, in the same amount, currency and payment method used at the time of purchase. 

Bookers will only provide information and accept instructions on any changes to the email and telephone numbers associated with the account and / or registration on its websites. 

Voucher: Once the full payment is processed, Bookers will send you an electronic voucher (e-voucher) by email.

Vouchers will be emailed almost always automatically and immediately after the payment is received, confirmed and processed. Customers must check the data and products on the voucher (s) - quantity, description, items, values, dates and names - upon receipt and, in case of discrepancy, contact our Call Center immediately through one of our channels: chat, email, phone or WhatsApp. 

Voucher Exchange: Vouchers must be exchanged for physical tickets once our Hospitality desk is open, a few days before the event dates. The exchange can be made free of charge at our Hospitality Desk, which is located in Copacabana, or can be delivered – Special Delivery Service - to an address in Rio de Janeiro, subject to a delivery charge. 

It is very important to schedule a time through your account on our website for the exchange / pickup of tickets at our Hospitality Desk. You should use your account. Username and password are required.

Hospitality Desk Hours of Operation During Carnival:

Tuesday, February 18th to Monday, February 24th, 2020 - 10am to 5pm local time.

Tuesday, February 25th - Closed

Friday, February 28th and Saturday, February 29th, 2020 - For those who bought tickets to the Champions Parade - 10am to 5pm local time. 

Documents for ticket pick up by purchaser: For security reasons, tickets will be handed out only to the Credit Card Holder or to a third party designated in advance by you, and , authorized by Bookers agents, if conditions are in compliance with Bookers terms and conditions. For pick up, it is mandatory for the purchaser to present a valid Picture ID or Passport with photo and signature. In case of purchases with credit cards, it is mandatory to present the original physical credit card used in the purchase and the confirmation number present on the voucher. Copies, photographs, scans, print screens or any formats other than the original document will not be accepted. 

These requirements are in accordance with the best practices recommended by the credit card companies, which are in place for security reasons and are therefore mandatory for receiving the tickets. We reserve the right to photograph the requested documents, while keeping the Card Security Code (CSC) private, for later verification of purchase with credit card companies, if necessary. 

Pick Up by Third Parties: Pick up by third parties is possible, if communicated to our agents in advance. Bookers agents will provide all necessary information regarding mandatory documents that must be submitted and reviewed in advance. Usually, a copy of the credit card and a copy of the credit card holder's photo ID or Passport are required, as well as a credit authorization form signed by the credit card holder and a signed third-party authorization, both previously requested by e-mail info@bookersinternational.com. Please note that this rule is not valid for tickets such as Luxury Suite, Folia Tropical and Super Folia, which cannot be authorized for third party pick up when purchased with credit cards or any other methods whose payment can be reversed. 

Bookers, through its agents, reserves the right to request any additional documentation from customers for proof of purchase. In case of non-submission of the requested documents, Bookers reserves itself the right to cancel the purchase, at its own discretion. 

Special Delivery: The customer can opt for a special delivery service to an address in the city of Rio de Janeiro. We deliver only in the tourist regions of the city, usually Barra da Tijuca, South Zone and Centro. In this case, a delivery fee of US$30 per ticket up to US$120 for orders of 4 or more tickets will be charged. Customers who choose the Special Delivery Service must inform in advance, through their account on our website, the exact delivery address. They should also schedule a date and time on the same website, choosing the time range, where they will be present at the address provided to receive the ticket. We do not deliver tickets to the hotel reception or to the hotel concierge, no exceptions, so if you choose to receive your tickets at the hotel, you must be present on the chosen day and in the time range scheduled to receive the tickets and to sign the delivery receipt.

Bookers cannot consider unanswered requests, whether by email, chat or by any other means. Without proper instructions, we reserve the right to cancel and resell purchased items as well as discontinue delivery service. No refunds will be made to any undelivered tickets for any reason. 

On the day of delivery, the agent can only wait 10 minutes after arriving at the address to get the buyer's signature. If the receipt is not signed by the buyer or by whom the buyer has indicated, or for any reason such as the person is unavailable or was not found at the address, is late, refuses to sign the delivery receipt or the address informed is incorrect or unidentifiable, tickets will be sent back to our Hospitality Desk at Copacabana where they will be available until 12 noon on the day of the event for pickup. After 12 noon, we reserve the right to resell tickets. No refunds will be made for those tickets not picked up for any reason. 

About Transfers: The transfer service purchased on our website is provided by the partner company Aliança Turismo. Transfer guides pass through the hotel's lobby / reception or meeting point at the scheduled time of your reservation, wearing orange-sleeved white t-shirts and carrying orange flags. We always recommend that you arrive at least 10 minutes early in the hotel lobby / reception or meeting point so that when your transfer arrives you are ready to board. Because it is divided into routes, the transfer can be a few minutes late, without affecting the arrival time at the Sambadrome. 

You must be wearing the transfer badge you will receive with your ticket to board on the way to and on the way back from the sambadrome. The loss or damage of the badge may cause you to be denied boarding. 

For the return, at the end of each samba school parade there is a transfer that will return to the same hotel / place where you boarded. Inside the Sambadrome, go to the meeting point previously agreed upon with the transfer guide and follow the instructions given by them. Keep in mind, the end of the last samba school parade is the busiest transfer departure time and the last transfer departs 30 minutes after the end of the parades, so if you want to stay until the very end, as soon as the last samba school finishes going through your sector, go straight to the meeting point. The transfer does not wait and is not responsible for those who miss the final departure time. No refunds will be given under any circumstances if the customer does not follow the instructions given in these terms or misses the transfer scheduled. 

About Costumes: Rio Carnival Costumes ARE NOT refundable. Carnival costumes are made to order; therefore, no cancellations are accepted. None of the costumes bought through Bookers International, offline or on our websites, are refundable, under any circumstances.

Measurements – We cannot be held responsible for any misunderstandings or misinformation related to the alterations made for clients. 

Costumes are an important part of samba school parades and they count for points towards the competition, so they cannot be modified, or have any missing pieces or props. During the parade you cannot have any belongings showing, such as bags, purses, backpacks, grocery bags, cameras, cellphones, etc., under penalty of being excluded from the parade by the samba school officials. No refunds will be given under these circumstances. 

About Costumes delivery: There will be NO delivery of costumes. Paraders have to pick up their costumes at our Hospitality Desk located in Copacabana at the Hotel Atlantico Copacabana. No exceptions. Once full payment for the costume is processed, you will receive a voucher by e-mail. This voucher has to be exchanged for the costume at our Hospitality Desk on Friday, February 21st and / or Saturday, February 22nd, 2020, for access group costumes. For Special Group costumes, the pick-up must be on Saturday, February 22nd, and / or Sunday, February 23rd, 2020. The costume pickup must have a pre-scheduled date and time on our website by January 31st. Costumes not picked up will be discarded on the day of the parade. No refunds will apply for non-picked up costumes for any reason. 

Costumes Pick Up by Third Parties: Costumes can be picked up by third parties, if communicated to our agents in advance. Bookers agents will provide all necessary information regarding mandatory documents that must be submitted and reviewed in advance. Usually, a copy of the credit card and a copy of the credit card holder's ID or Passport are required, as well as a credit authorization form signed by the credit card holder and a signed third-party authorization, both previously requested by e-mail info@bookersinternational.com. 

Bookers, through its agents, reserves the right to request any additional documentation from customers for proof of purchase. In case of non-submission of the requested documents, we reserve the right to cancel the purchase. 

Refunds of hotel / travel packages: Unused hotel reservations and tours may be refundable under certain circumstances and policies beyond our control. All requests for refunds must be made by email no later than 45 days prior to travel. Refund policies can vary by hotel and / or service provider. Some hotels may apply special conditions in addition to normal policies, such as the mandatory minimum stay or non-refundable prepayment, as this is a special Carnival period. 

Travel Insurance: BookersInternational.com strongly recommends the purchase of travel insurance. Please inquire as to cost and coverage at the time of booking. 

Exclusions: Prices do not include gratuities and meals, except where otherwise noted by ‘included’. Nor do they include telephone calls, other personal or incidental items or any other features not listed in your package. 

City Tax: Some hotels may charge City Taxes of approximately US$3 per day per room. 4 and 5-star hotels normally charge US$3 dollars per day per room while 2 and 3-star hotels charge US$1 for the same period. These taxes cannot be collected outside Brazil. The taxes will be included in your hotel charges and will be payable to the hotel upon checkout. 

Final Payment: Full payment is due 60 days prior to the date of check in or the provision services date. All packages are subject to price and availability changes until paid in full. Hotel vouchers will be sent only when full payment has been received. 

Travel package Revisions and Cancellations: If the customer needs to change their travel plans after booking, certain restrictions may apply. Cancellations, changes, and refunds vary by hotel and tour and transfer provider policies. Some special periods, such as Carnival, have different policies. 

Documents: A valid Passport will be required for international travel. According to the new VISA law, US, Canadian, Japanese an Australian citizens can visit Brazil without a VISA. For more information we recommend you to contact the Brazilian embassy: http://www.itamaraty.gov.br/en/. It is the sole responsibility of the passenger to obtain visas independently. Please consult with the respective country’s embassy and or consulate. 

Responsibility: BookersInternational.com and its authorized representatives act only as agents for the passengers in all matters pertaining to travel by air or surface. They shall not be or become liable for any loss, injury or damage or delay to person, property or otherwise in connection with any accommodations, transportation or other services referred to in this brochure resulting directly or indirectly from acts of nature, dangers at sea, fire, machinery or equipment breakdown, sickness, epidemics, quarantine, medical or customs regulations, pilferage, labor disputes, strikes, riots, thefts, government restraints, hostilities, civil disturbances, acts of terrorism of any kind, wars whether declared or not, losses or delays or additional expenses resulting from insufficient or improperly issued passports and or visas and other documents, or from any other causes beyond BookersInternational.com.

The tickets, coupons, tariffs, rules or contracts currently in use by any carrier, hotel, restaurant or other contractor rendering services shall constitute the sole contract between such contractor and the tour member. No carrier shall be responsible for any act, omission or event during the time passengers are not on board its own conveyance. The right is reserved to cancel or change itineraries or substitute services without notice and to decline, accept, or retain any participant as a member of these tours at any time. The right is reserved until the time of departure to change the rates and fares referred to in this brochure without prior notification due to changes in current tariffs, fluctuation due to changes in current tariffs, fluctuation of exchange rates or fuel surcharges.

All disputes and matters shall be litigated, if at all, in and before a court located in Miami, to the exclusion of the courts of any other city, county or state. The issuance and acceptance of tickets and or other documents in connection with a service provided by BookersInternational.com is considered acceptance of the above terms.

Final Terms: Customer Service is provided in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Requests in any other language may not be considered.

Processing any email may take up to 2 business days. Requests and emails sent on weekends and holidays will only be answered on the second business day after receipt, except for Carnival period.

Bookers requires all customers to sign a receipt upon receiving tickets and / or costumes. In the case of credit card payment, you will be asked to sign a confirmation of the charge authorization on the credit card used confirming the charge. This will be done once customers are in Rio de Janeiro and refers to the amount previously agreed upon and charged for their online purchases. Only the cardholder can sign the credit authorization receipt and if the cardholder is not present, the Third-Party procedure must be followed.

For payments by wire transfer, bank deposit, PayPal account or Western Union, the purchaser registered on our website will be responsible for signing the receipt.
